Join us on a tour in the wonderful surroundings where Herdlefjorden meets Hjeltefjorden for some rock climbing along the bay!
On this beautiful three-hour climb along the fjord you get to experience the peaceful fjord landscape and have a lot of fun!
During the trip we will climb on climbing nets, across rope bridge and down zip lines. You will get to see some ruins of the Second World War, parts of the a torpedo battery built during the Cold War, and much more. During the trip, there will be a short stop, where we can enjoy our lunch.
In this area where we are climbing there has been over 240 different bird species discovered, so maybe we'll also see eagles and other rare birds!
We always use experienced guides on our guided tours. Before the trip we will have a safety check-out, where the activity will be explained to you in detail. We will help you with all safety equipment and ensure you are all set before we head out!
Look for a guide or our minibus between Tourist Information and the Express Boat Terminal in Bergen city center (Strandkaien 3). Busses run on a set schedule and cannot wait, so please be ready at least 10 minutes before departure (09:20 am for morning departure or 13.30 for afternoon departure).
Once at Herdla Fort, you will be met by one of our experienced guides who will greet you and get you fitted for harness and additional safety equipment. Once everyone is assembled, you will be given a safety induction and have the route explained to you. Afterwards, you will make your way to the start of the trip, where you will traverse rock ledges, vertical drops over the sea, rope bridges, zip-lines and more!
Approximately half way through your trip, you will break for lunch, where you will have a chance to rest and relax and enjoy the beautiful natural suppoundings! Afterwards you will work your way towards the last and final zip-line, where you will skim the treetops to your final tree-top destination!
